Practical love
I propose an alternative to everyone who does not want to believe in *true love*.. I give you - Practical love. Does you life get so hectic that you can't spend every living moment thinking about your beloved one? For those who still crave takeaway dinners and watching a DVD.. but can not be bothered with flowers and choclates..
get some PRACTICAL LOVE..

Hi,
Forgot to include the disclaimer that this was a 'disillusioned rant'. But after hearing from pretty much everyone how 'happy and liberating' true love can be, I think I would never really enjoyed it, if I found it at all. There would be too many expectations and the need for it to be perfect in most if not all aspects. This way, *practical love* offers me a more laid-back attitude towards life and love.
Is this a very cynical view?

Practical, by definition, means imperfect. So there is no question of me looking for perfection in practical love.
Why do you asssume that '[one] would never be satisfied with life by being laidback'? Spoke to a fellow practical-love-believer who said that if we believed in "true love" then wouldn't we spend all our time looking for it (initially) and then maintaining/ safekeeping it? Wouldn't it just be a distraction, unless it was your sole (no pun intended) pursuit in life..
I'm confident that the world is not idealistic. So perhaps it is too idealistic for your notion to survive in the 'real and practical world'..
